Access to African Diaspora Network ecosystem, mentorship from ADN advisors, potential showcase at ADIS annual symposium, and BAF alumni peer network.
Relatively new fund (launched 2025) — track record still being established; Not a traditional open-call grant — pipeline sourced primarily through BAF program; Grant amounts are modest ($25K ceiling) — best for early catalytic funding
The best route into AfDIF is through the Builders of Africa's Future (BAF) program. Apply to BAF first, which serves as the primary pipeline. The donor-voting model means having a compelling, communicable story matters — your venture needs to resonate with diaspora investors emotionally as well as intellectually.
