Health Systems Resilience
Strengthening equitable health systems with youth-focused resources and approaches
Passionate young leaders (18-30) running established nonprofits that serve underserved communities. Projects must focus on health equity, climate-health nexus, or health systems resilience. Strong emphasis on measurable outcomes and inclusive approaches. Must be 'funding-ready' with proper organizational documentation.
6-12 month structured fellowship including mentorship from AstraZeneca colleagues, professional development through One Young World Academy, access to YHP alumni network, and end-of-year impact reporting framework. Fellows join the One Young World Ambassador community permanently.
Deadline is April 12, 2026 — very close. Organization must be registered and operational for 3+ years. Income thresholds are strict ($10K-$1M for standard, $100K-$2M for Lead2030). Projects cannot have >50% co-funding from elsewhere.
Apply for the $10K fellowship and you are automatically considered for the $50K Lead2030 SDG3 prize — no separate application needed. The summit is in Cape Town this year, so African organizations have a travel advantage. Focus the proposal on one of the three explicit focus areas and be very specific about measurable outcomes. Having a 3+ year operational track record with documented impact is non-negotiable.
