The Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund provides long-term commercial debt for private sector infrastructure projects in sub-Saharan Africa. It supports companies building new facilities or expanding existing ones, with a typical ticket size of $5 million or more. Priority sectors listed include renewable energy, transmission and distribution, digital communications infrastructure, transportation, logistics and warehousing, bulk storage, social infrastructure, and infrastructure supporting agriculture and mining.

Applicants should present a clear debt financing case for a private sector infrastructure project in sub-Saharan Africa and show whether the project will create new infrastructure or expand existing assets.
