Tax incentives
Uganda Investment Authority offers a free investment license for for-profit companies investing in Uganda. Both foreign and local companies can apply: foreign investors must commit at least USD 250,000, while domestic investors must invest at least USD 50,000. Priority sectors listed include agro-industrialization, tourism development, mineral development, and science, technology, and innovation.

Applicants should clearly show that they meet the minimum capital threshold for their investor category and that their business is a for-profit venture in Uganda.
