Individuals who are genuine global citizens fighting extreme poverty with proven, measurable impact. Strong emphasis on disruption — candidates should be challenging systems that perpetuate poverty, not just providing services. Scalability is key: the $100K should catalyze significantly larger impact. All 2025 winners were African — the prize clearly values African changemakers.
Ongoing visibility through Global Citizen platform. Winners join an alumni network of past recipients. Featured in Global Citizen campaigns and events.
All 3 winners in 2025 were African (Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria). The application window is very short (~4 weeks in May-June). Focus your application on measurable poverty impact with clear numbers.
